Actuellement étudiant à l’école d’art et de design d’Annecy après 3 ans passés en Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture, je vous propose aujourd’hui, le début d’un projet d’écriture sur les bunkers et la place qu’ils entretiennent avec nos paysages contemporains. Ce projet d’écriture découle d’un travail sculptural que j’ai réalisé il y a quelques mois en Bretagne.
En cette période de confinement, l’Homme est en train de revenir à un de ses besoins primitifs : habiter des espaces pour se protéger du monde extérieur. Si les bunkers sont construits, depuis des décennies, dans cet optique là, qu’en est-il de nos architectures contemporaines ? Avec les nouveaux enjeux pandémiques à venir, nos architectures sont-elles vouées à une évolution drastique de notre manière d’habiter des espaces ?
Ce projet Bunker est une installation qui illustre le rapport de l’individu à son perpétuel besoin d’habiter des « dedans ». L’appropriation in situ permet de prendre en compte la dimension historique de l’objet. Celui-ci a cessé de vivre comme un espace appropriable et est devenu un monument. Cette enveloppe en couverture de survie permet à l’élément architectural d’acquérir une toute autre forme, une toute autre identité, un tout autre prestige, jusqu’à ne plus le reconnaître. La couverture de survie permet de révéler cet objet oublié et d’attirer les regards, en lui donnant une nouvelle vie. La construction redevient alors un objet habitable, mais cette fois-ci dans une dimension artistique.
À la suite de ce projet, j’ai entamé un travail d’écriture sur les bunkers et la place qu’ils entretiennent avec nos paysages contemporains. Les bunkers sont une architecture de confinement et répondre à un des besoins primitifs humains, habiter des espaces pour se protéger du monde extérieur. Bonne lecture.
