L’artiste comme montreur. Plus on travaille, plus on disparaît et plus on devient son oeuvre. Je pense que le désir profond d’un artiste, c’est de devenir son oeuvre. Finalement, on joue sa propre vie pour la vivre réellement : on joue la tristesse, on joue la révolte, on joue le bonheur. On est montreur, on n’est que montreur, on n’a plus de vie tout comme un acteur de théâtre.

Si il y a crise, un malaise, il ne doit pas chercher à survivre cette crise. Il se doit de la traverser. Il fonce dedans, il se brule pour la comprendre. Il se distancie de son peuple pour mieux l’observer, le pratiquer. Un artiste est montreur donc, sans la prétention d’être prophète, car il est un parmi les autres. Pour lui il n’y a pas de beauté, il y a de la merde, bonne ou mauvaise, il y a des injustices, des gens bons, des assassins, et il est partout où se crée le monde. 

The artist as a person « who show ». The more you work, the more you disappear and the more you become your work. I think the deep desire of an artist is to become his work. Finally, we play our own life to really live it : we play sadness, we play revolt, we play happiness. We are showers, we are only showers, we no longer have a life just like a theatre actor.
If there is a crisis, a malaise, the artist should not try to survive this crisis. He must cross it. He rushes into it, he burns himself to understand it. He distances himself from his people to better observe and practice it. An artist is a showman therefore, without pretending to be a prophet, because he is one among the others. For him there is no beauty, there could be shit, good or bad, there are injustices, good people, murderers, and it is wherever the world is created.

Parfois, l’audio-spectateur confiné, n’a plus de repères.

Dans la mondialisation du web, les cultures de l’autre côté du globe lui échappent.

Pour le créateur confiné, c’est tout pareil : sa création réalisé dans un coin de la terre, peut-être vue au même moment par des inuits, des sherpas, des bergers Corses, des traders dans leur bourse de proximité, des dealers de mégapoles, des amoureux sur les bancs publics, des nouveaux nés, des griots, des alpinistes accrochés à une montagne.

Cela rend toujours la création étrange par son caractère singulier, insolite, surprenant, bizarre. Et dans l’art confiné, l’intimité dévoilée du créateur confiné accentue cette curiosité.

La lumière du japon, de Kiichiro Ogawa, ce soir, sera vue peut-être dans la noirceur d’une mine de charbon.

Internet rapproche les gens, mais souligne combien ils sont différents.

« I’ve been in my atelier during the last month.

→ ここ1ヶ月ずっとアトリエにこもっている。

I only go out for shopping for groceries and going for a walk on the beach.

→ 外に出るとすれば、食料品の買い出しと、家の前の海岸の散歩くらいである。

Going out of home is not prohibited in Japan.

→ 日本では、外出は禁止はされてはいない。

However, I want to cocentrate on making my own works, avoiding contact with people.

→ しかしながら、私は自分の創作活動に集中したいので、人との交流を避けてきた。

So I try not to go out.

→ だから私は出かけることをしないようにしている。

Once I open the door, streets are filled with people who have been swayed by capitalism.

→ ひとたび外に出たら、そこは資本主義に洗脳された人たちで溢れているのだ。

These kinds of people always complain.

→ 彼らは常に愚痴を言う。

They always try to blame someone.

→ 彼らは常に他人のせいにしたがる。

They can’t find fun without spending money.

→ 彼らはお金を使わずに人生を楽しむ術を知らない。

I don’t want to be affected by those people.

→ 私は彼らに染まりたくはない。


So before I go out, I read these words written on the door and I try to keep myself away from those people.

→ だから私は止むを得ず外に出るときは、自分自身がブレないように、この言葉を読み返している。

These words are the one which came out through my creative activities.

→ これらの言葉は、自分の芸術行為の中で生まれてきたものである。

An artist only can protect himself by what he created by himself.

→ 芸術家とは、自分自身の中から生み出されたものでしか、自分を守ることはできないのである。 »
